I was cleaning up the kitchen yesterday, and was picking up multiple pieces of bits of yarn from the table, and thought that would be a fine title for a blog.
I’ve had blogs in the past, but this one will be different. My observations of life, faith, family, dogs & cats, and of course– Knitting.
I began knitting 2 months ago. Never before had I attempted something made of yarn. Rubber stamps, paper, ink, and the occasional sewing project were my cuppa tea coffee…. In a previous era of my life, a friend talked about a lot about knitting and I was always intrigued. Not enough to TRY it, but intrigued none the less. Then, recent months have found me praying– a lot. And my hands are hands that need to be DOING while sitting still. Knitting is the perfect remedy for this!
So far, I’ve only made washcloths, mysterious knit pieces of nothing, and a few french press cozies. I’ve got aspirations to make prayer shawls for a local ministry, and maybe a sweater. For now, washcloths keep me focused.
