Clay to Potter

Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use?

Jeremiah 18:4-6

But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make. Then the word of the LORD came to me saying,  “Can I not, O house of Israel, deal with you as this potter does?” declares the LORD. “Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.

Isaiah 45:9

Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker–
An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth!
Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’
Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?

Isaiah 64:8

But now, O LORD, You are our Father,
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.

Isaiah 29:16
You turn things around!Shall the potter be considered as equal with the clay,That what is made would say to its maker, “He did not make me”;Or what is formed say to him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?

Romans 9:20-22

On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it?  Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use? What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction?

Psalm 103:11-12

So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.

So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

What a great God we serve. What a kind, merciful, loving God.

Improvisation

This is what I do when I can’t find the sun-tea-jar.

And when God puts you in a place where you just can’t find a second of peace, you call His name, and He provides Peace that passes all understanding.

I’m home from my Trip. It was as bad as you can imagine and then some. But the sweetest moments in the past 3.5 weeks have come from fellowship with my sisters in Christ. Thanks. (Shannon, Melissa, Debbie, and Jennifer!! AND JOANNA–Just because I never called you back, well, that doesn’t mean we weren’t praying )
