…for my beloved coffeepot.
I used bottlecaps to make the buttons, because I couldn’t find any in my button stash that looked good.
Pattern is adapted from HERE, adapted meaning–I don’t have the patience, time or handstrength anymore to do rows and rows of stockinette. Garter is MUCH easier. And I never follow patterns anyhow… :)
I used Cotton Ease, in charcoal. Used about 1/2 a skein. I may make another one and do a giveaway. Leave a comment, and I’ll pick a winner.
PS. I’m so happy to be knitting again, even if it’s just a few rows a day. Praise God!

Why weren’t you knitting b4 now?
because my joints are constantly in pain. all of ‘em. But God is giving me a bit of reprieve. I have good days and bad days. So on the good days, I knit alot. On the bad ones, notsomuch.
Using bottle caps, that’ is ingenious! Would it bother you if I did that too? That is just such a great idea I would have never thought of that before.
I understand what you mean about not having time to knit. I LOVE it but haven’t had time in a LONG time.
have at it! It was just a momentary glimpse of genius. :0)
I have time, just not the hand strength. Something is up with my joints.
thanks!
aww I’m sorry about your joints.
Sorry to hear your joints are still acting up. But what a cute little coffee potbelly sweater. I expect such things as bottle cap buttons from you, because you are the Creative and Domestic Wonder! Seriously…you rock.
