12:90 Speaking for the LORD

Scripture:

 Numbers 22:32

So Balaam said to Balak, “Behold, I have come now to you! Am I able to speak anything at all? The word that God puts in my mouth, that I shall speak.”

Observation:

 Balaam was essentially saying to Balak “Yup, I’m here. But I’m not really going to say a word unless God tells me to”.

Application:

 Speaking for God is a very serious thing. And When Balaam finally understood that he was to be the voice for God to Balak, he took it very seriously.

God has given us this charge as well, to go into all the corners of the earth and be a voice for Him. He wants to hear us tell His story and share His love and blessing.

He also wants us to be discerning and careful about what we say—only speaking His Truths.

Prayer:

LORD, help me to speak Your truths and be Your voice to this world. Help my voice to mix with millions of others in shouting Your story and Your love and blessing to this hurting and dying world.
