19:90 Refuge

19:90 Refuge
#4 on my THINGS I DIDN’T KNOW WERE IN THE BIBLE list…..Judges 16:16

Scripture:

Ruth 2:12

May the LORD reward your work, and your wages be full from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge.

Observation:

Boaz recognized Ruth’s’ dedication to her mother-in-law, and by default, to the God of Israel. He recognized her need for a refuge, a place of quiet rest and peace. He blessed her in her work in his fields and basically identified himself as the one who would be that refuge for her.

Application:

I think that God oftentimes provides for us a place of refuge in other people, or in events in our lives.  Since I came to know the LORD 3 years ago (TODAY!), He has provided me with innumerable places of refuge through other people and events. Look around today and see not only what He is providing for you, but also whom can you be a refuge for?

Prayer:

Father, show me, lead me, and help me see Your places of refuge that You provide. Lead me to be that for others, and to give You the glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

PS…today is my birthday. My born-again birthday. The only one that matters. Praise the LORD for His grace and mercy, that He is mighty to save.
